Lachesis’ Fantoccini   Leave a comment

Lachesis is one of the fates in Greek mythology. I’d guess you know that if you have followed me for very long. Her main job so it seems is to measure the thread of life which is spun on the spindle by her sister Clotho. Being in charge of measuring out that thread made her responsible for deciding how how long and when a person lived on earth. She also got to decide a person’s destiny.

A fantoccini is basically a show put on with puppets operated from above by rods and/or strings. Lachesis is definitely a master at putting on these shows, and we are obviously all sometimes her marionettes or as some have liked to call them… “fantocci.”

So here it is, Lachesis’ Fantoccini.

Lachesis' Fantoccini painting

This painting is part of my Two Moons series of paintings. You can get prints of this via Pixels/Fine art America as usual, or… you can try out ArtPal which is a site I am am just starting to check out. If you purchase a print via ArtPal I’d really appreciate it if you messaged me about your experience. Speed, ease of ordering, quality of print, and anything else that sticks out to you. I’ve only uploaded a few things to them so far and they seem like they have a cool setup, but I have yet to start promoting my gallery as I would like some feedback first.
