Say you love me poetry

I want you to say you love me.
I want it to be true.
I want you to say it to me,
because darling, I love you.

I don’t want you to lie to me.
I don’t want it just for fun.
I don’t want you to tell me you love me,
and then turn around and run.

I want you to say forever.
I want you to always be there.
I want you to say forever,
because without you I’d despair.

I don’t want you to say goodbye.
I don’t want your love withdrawn.
I don’t want you to evanesce,
and leave me woebegone.
