Amanita muscaria is the theme, and snails. Yes, snails.
First the deal.
August Only, my stylized Amanita mushrooms as shown, colored as I please (obviously reds) with or without a snail (Your choice) and with four options on size.
- Tiny for $50 – up to two inches in height, must be a solo mushroom, snail optional.
- Small for $65 – up to three and a half inches, single or double mushroom, snail optional.
- Medium for $125 – up to five inches, single or double shroom, snail optional.
- Large for $250 – Up to nine inches, single or double mushroom, snail must be included.
- Note for large – It will most likely be a six plus hour tattoo unless I am over caffeinated. All day, bring snacks.
I will be drawing new ones up for each tattoo, no repeats.

These mushrooms are my favorite to see in the wild around the Pacific Northwest.
They are also a favorite food for snails. I have never called them Amanita muscaria, Fly agaric, Toadstools, Berserker Mushrooms, Mario Mushrooms, 1-Ups, Devil’s Hats, or Fairy shrooms. I have always called them Christmas mushrooms. It is simply because of their look.
My pull to these come from my childhood, how most people view them, and their connection to Scandinavian mythologies. Poisonous, deadly, yet also used as a regular addition to meals if prepaired a certain way, and used to go to a fantasy land if used another. Völva, Seiðkona, and Seiðmaðr (types of Nordic sorcerers, witches, magicians) all used the Muscimol / Musc for communicating with spirits and such. Muscimol is the main psychoactive alkaloid found in the mushrooms.
Since they grow all over the world, with slight variatons, they have a crazy history in many places.
