If you are wondering why this theme, it is because of one of my usual reasons for doing things. Myths, legends, and magics.

Poppies are associated with the moon and are deeply intertwined into certain mythologies I have interest in. The poppy is a symbol of the night, sleep, dreams, and the subconscious. They are often associated with lunar deities.
In Greek mythology, the poppy is closely linked to Nyx who is the goddess of night, and in a way the personification of night itself. The poppy is also the flower of Hypnos who is the God of Sleep.
The Morpheus connection is obvious. Morpheus is the god of dreams and the son of Hypnos. Oh, the Sandman and the poppy.
If you follow me regularly across platforms you may recall this poem/song titled Persephone… When Hades abducted Persephone, Her mother Demeter was so stressed that the gods gave her poppies to help her sleep. Afterward, poppies sprang up from her footsteps, symbolizing both the sleep of oblivion and the regeneration of life.
On and on I could go because the poppy is so deeply rooted in mythology it deserves an entire book devoted to it.
That is my reason for poppies in my art so often, and for this tattoo project.
Your reason need have nothing to do with mine.
They are without any connection to myth, pretty flowers that many people love.

So, get ahold of me via my Red Region Facebook or my personal Instagram if interested,
or just stop in my studio between 10:am and 1:pm Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday at 719 S. Laurel, Port Angeles, Wa, 98362

NOTE: The reason you can have the original art if doing a larger one, but not a smaller one is simple because I will not be drawing up finished looking ones for the smaller versions. I rarely draw finished versions, but am in this case for use as sticker designs with the larger ones.

The art is done with ink pen, pencil, and charcoal, so it is fragile. If you want it and don’t want it destroyed you’ll need to frame it. I’m drawing them on standard white copier paper, so a super cheap wally world frame can do the trick.

If you are interested in the stickers, You can get the ones shown above already in This Collection on RB.
