The Fleur-de-lis is a cool design, and that’s enough reason I suppose.
The deal… $50 up to five inches in height. Blackwork.
I’m fine with doing them in color as well, but it’ll be a bit extra.

The fleur-de-lis is the stylized depiction of the lily flower. The name itself derives from ancient Greek λείριον > Latin lilium > French lis.
It is a symbol of purity.
Purity of heart, of desire, of conduct.
Most people are familiar with it as common heraldic charge. It is often associated with chivalry, and it is seen in many coats of arms.
Where it originally came from is highly debated with some pointing to a specific river, some to lilies, or irises, and others saying it came from the shape of a certain type of spear. It doesn’t matter to me it’s origins, just it’s meaning and connections to certain things.
I say certain things because it is connected to a ton of stuff. You may wish it tattooed because of something completely different than my reasons. Maybe it’s heritage, maybe it’s the connection to an organization or sport… All good.
My reasons are twofold.
The purity. It symbolizes a type of purity that I admire in people and desire to have in myself. It is the purity of heart and good intention. The fleur-de-lis represents faith, wisdom, and chivalry.
In my mind these traits are important.
The second reason I chose this is its attachment to Christianity. Beyond the aspect of it’s representing faith and purity which are themselves attached to Christian values the fleur-de-lis is a visual representation of the three persons of the Trinity. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
There are more connections to Christianity as well, but they are not part of my motivation so I’ll skip them as I did with others above.
So, $50 up to five inches in height through June. Blackwork.
I’m fine with doing them in color as well, but it’ll be a bit extra.

Let me know which one from the 5 above, or these two simpler ones…

Or you may send one you already have, or have me draw it to specification as long as the work amount will be similar. Basically you can get an idea from these shown as to the detail level for this deal. More time consuming designs would obviously cost a bit more.
