\"I'd<\/a><\/p>\n

A symbol of love they say is the rose.
\nDelicate scented blooms to convey I care for you.
\nPrescribed as Valentine’s gifts and for anniversaries I suppose,
\nconveniently bought and paid for is the symbolic rose.<\/p>\n

Why on these days are such gifts expected?
\nSince when does money mean more than efforts?
\nIs it only on marked calendar days that love is requested?
\nNothing symbolizing love should be bought and expected.<\/p>\n

Yes, I’d give you roses in all sorts of colors.
\nI’d not buy a one, and there scent would be daily.
\nOn pillows and in vases, and sometimes under the covers,
\nroses I had grown for you in all sorts of colors.<\/p>\n

I’d grow roses for you because you’re my pleasure.
\nNever bought, but attended by my own two hands,
\neach rose grown just for you instead of whomever.
\nEveryday a rose for you because you’re a treasure.<\/strong><\/p>\n
