Impressionism and expressionism collide with abstraction to create an erotic vision of man on man lust.
\nThat was me imagining some art critic type explaining this. (if he\/she liked it)
\nThe real deal is that I just got way overly into my paint here.
\nOriginally the intention was to create a super detailed and slightly surreal image of a man getting his cock sucked by another man whom he had just met. You can get an idea of my intended style by looking at To have lain with Aurora<\/a>.
\nThen look at what I created.
\n\"Lipstick<\/a>
\nAs paintings often do… this one took on a life of its own.
\nThe paint was just laying itself down perfectly. It wanted me to just go with it. It wanted me to abandon my plans and flow with the moment. I did!
\nSomehow I think I ended up with a much more powerful piece than I would have otherwise anyway.
\nI couldn’t tell as much of the story as I intended, but I think I captured the intensity of the lust in a way I never would have if I had stuck to plan. <\/p>\n

As for my color choices… those came about on their own too. I had planned on just blocking in an under-painting with blue and red = cool and hot tones. I pulled out some black (I rarely use black except for under painting) to add shadow and white to designate highlights.
\nThose paints I had pulled out for under painting (and had planned not to show at all in the finished artwork) became my complete palette.<\/p>\n

I did this painting all in one shot without taking even a 5 minute break. When I finished it was as if I had just finished an intense sex session with someone who really knew how to push my buttons. A fabulous feeling if I do say so myself.<\/p>\n

I took a photo the next day and screwed with it digitally for a good couple hours while drinking my morning coffee. I ended up creating a Sizzling piece digitally from it too.
\nNot trusting myself to make good decisions before being fully awake I saved the file as a working PSD and returned to it later that night. Sure enough… it needed some tender loving care. I spent maybe another 45 minutes screwing with it until i got this…
