I recently started messing around with POD art sites. Cool and all, but just one more thing to keep track of.
\nI can’t keep track of stuff very well because I have the memory of a goldfish.
\nIf you are not familiar with goldfish memories… let me say they basically keep their learned info in their little heads for a matter of seconds.
\nYep, not even minutes.
\nI’m not really that bad, but dang close.

\nThis is a little list of places that feature some of my artistic creations ranging from G rated to about R rated.
\nPlaces I need to check into once and a while.
\nThere are many more places that show my stuff, talk about me, etc… that basically I have no need to ever visit again in my life.
\nI’m letting my goldfish memory have them.
\nThis list is strictly made of sites I have a personal profile on that I should check in on and be active in some manner. <\/p>\n
I made this list for myself and decided it would be a cool post here on Artistic Flow<\/a>. So, here is a little list of places that I ‘should<\/em>‘ check in on and feature artistic type imagery from me.<\/p>\n NOTE: Zazzle<\/a> – This site is great in that they offer a ton of stuff and are well known for customer satisfaction. I started using Zazzle<\/a> in November of 2012 to make a few things for myself and liked the results. I didn’t start uploading things for others until recently. (May 2013) Society6<\/a> – A POD art community site that offers prints, cards, T-shirts, hoodies, laptop skins, phone cases, and a few other things. REDBUBBLE<\/a> – I set up my RedBubble<\/a> acount back in the beginning of 2009 and uploaded a few things. So… those three above are the three POD product sites I have been playing with. Imagekind<\/a> is the place I have used the longest to offer prints to the public. (that I still use) They also (like FineartAmerica.com) offer up a Private Prints Profile Page<\/a>. They are also the only place I list most of my SIZZLES<\/a>.<\/p>\n I have a profile on Saatchi<\/a> that I set up probably around April of 2012. I have a free portfolio on absolutearts.com<\/a> that I have never really used.<\/p>\n My ArtSlant<\/a> profile has been long neglected. I did log in a couple months back though and delete a couple images and replace them with others. ArtSlant<\/a> is basically a kind of online art magazine & networking site for artists, galleries, and collectors. Since I have massive social anxiety I don’t really participate. <\/p>\n Behance<\/a> is another social networking site for art types. Another I neglect for the same reasons as stated above.<\/p>\n I’m on Artmajeur<\/a> too, but only since May of 2013. Artmajeur<\/a> is another online art magazine type site that is cool fine artists and collectors alike. I haven’t done much with them yet, but as I like the site I most likely will at some point.<\/p>\n Pinterest<\/a> is new for me as of 2012 too. I like pinterest<\/a>. It is a social networkish type site I can actually enjoy because it is pretty much 100% visual. Twitter<\/a> – yep, I have one, but I rarely remember to check it. I do sometimes though add links and every once in a great moon some actual art. <\/p>\n I have two Tumblr blogs. Hmm, I think that should about cover it. I of course can be found on a zillion other sites that I don’t control any sort of the content on.
\nThis list has been edited however with about a dozen sites being removed because frankly I didn’t want to share them.
\nI also removed all sites that focus on my tattooing, poetry, photography, and video work.
\nTattooing was removed because I seriously could give a rats ass about showing such things. People nowadays have such low fucking standards when it comes to tattoos it is almost embarrassing to say I tattoo anymore. The “average” tattooist couldn’t draw his way out of a paper bag and tattoos even worse. It is disgusting.
\nThe poetry just doesn’t seem to fit in my life recently and I have been all over the board with it.
\nMy photography has been almost 100% commercial the last few years so I get no joy from sharing it.
\nIt is also sometimes a bit to racy for Artistic Flow<\/a>. Once long ago this site (Aarron.com<\/a>)was XXX rated and filtered by almost every service. I’m trying to avoid that nowadays.
\nThe video work… umm, see above. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
\nThe POD product sites I am involved with all offer different products.
\nI also keep the items\/artwork unique to each.
\nYou will see sometimes that I use a drawing\/painting\/photo as a base on multiple sites, but in each case it has been either through digital or traditional art methods modified to be unique.
\nIn other words… No exact repeats from site to site. <\/em><\/p>\n
\nYou can find a large variety of things via my Zazzle<\/a> profile if you look around, but my main thing (reason I dig Zazzle<\/a>) is the T shirts.
\nI hope you dig them as I actually put a lot of effort into my T-shirts for the site.
\nIf you are an artist thinking about trying out a POD site I would highly recommend Zazzle<\/a> for all their options, but would also say (as a warning) this is the most confusing site of the ones I have tried to actually use and organize. You need to have a ton of different templates that they DON’T supply also if you are picky and want your art to appear the best it can. <\/p>\n
\nI joined Society6<\/a> Just this last January to check it out and didn’t upload anything until May 24, 2013. I don’t have a ton of stuff on the site, but so far it seems a really cool website.
\nIt is easy to use and the artists who use it seem a friendly lot.<\/p>\n
\nI pretty much forgot about it completely after that until they sent me a check and then I uploaded a couple more things only to forget about it again. My RedBubble<\/a> has sat pretty sparse until just recently. I am now trying to upload stuff regularly and find it my overall favorite of all the POD type sites I use simply because of it being so dang easy to use. I also very much like how their T-Shirts<\/a> are done and am currently having tons of fun using their templates to make iPhone cases<\/a> from my artwork.<\/p>\n
\nFor art prints I primarily go with Fine Art America<\/a>.
\nA lot of my paintings are available there as prints and I list some originals too.
\nArtist’s Websites<\/a> is actually part of Fine Art America so what you find on one site you will find on the other. Artist’s Websites<\/a> however allows a tad of control in display that the Fine Art America<\/a> profile doesn’t so in general I like the Artist’s websites<\/a> side of the deal a bit better.<\/p>\n
\nI don’t have a lot there, but you can get prints of a few pieces via Saatchi<\/a> and they have a good rep for quality. <\/p>\n
\nI’m pretty lazy about pinning though.<\/p>\n
\nLike it Like I do<\/a> & Sweet Odium<\/a>.
\nSweet Odium<\/a> is where I only blog my art, while Like it Like I do<\/a> gets a random bit of everything. I also re-blog and post other peoples stuff on Like it Like I do<\/a>. If you are a Tumblr user and dig my stuff I recommend following both because even though I double post on them often each blog gets it’s own special content too.<\/p>\n
\nI also have tons of really old profiles floating around, and also some active, but not of much value (like deviant<\/a>, flickr<\/a>, etc..) ones that are not worth mentioning.
