My words to live by are obviously not all mine. Most are tried and true obvious thoughts that all people should live by, but few ever do. Some are quotes, some are fortune cookie type crap that just make sense. Whatever the source.... If you live by these pearls of wisdom you are sure to have a much more rewarding life and be able to sleap better at nite knowing you are a good person who has done your best in life. Page 3 - Page 1- Page 2 Words to live by are in no particular order Enjoy - and take them to heart. Decency and inner beaty are more valuable than appearance. Encourage anyone trying to improve. Be content with what you have. A liar is not believed even when they speak the truth. Bye low and sell high. Lying damages the present as well as the future. There are no advantages to resentment. Every journy has it's share of setbacks and failures. You can not live down a lie. A good life keeps away wrinkles. Dreams can become real. The mind can make things better or worse than they really are. Perform more than promised rather than promis more than performed. A thought procedes every action. The purpose of criticism is to help. Be committed. Maintain hope. Don't burn your bridges behind you. Never do evil in hope that good will come of it. Do nice things for others without telling anybody about it. Do not be deceived by flattery. By thinking of ourselves less, we learn to love ourselves more. He who is all for himself is often all by himself. How old would you be - if you did not know your age? Ability helps you get to the top, but character is what can keep you from falling. Love makes everyone vulnerable. Imitate the successes of the wise and not the mistakes of fools. A beautiful soul lasts longer than a beautiful body. Guilty is it's own punishment. A clean conscience is a good pillow. You can not play in dirt without getting dirty. You are what you do. Live your life doing good for the sake of good. Intentions as well as actions must be good to be acceptable. Develope and maintain a capacity to forgive.
