My words to live by are obviously not all mine. Most are tried and true obvious thoughts that all people should live by, but few ever do. Some are quotes, some are fortune cookie type crap that just make sense. Whatever the source.... If you live by these pearls of wisdom you are sure to have a much more rewarding life and be able to sleap better at nite knowing you are a good person who has done your best in life. Words to live by are in no particular order Enjoy - and take them to heart. Practice ethics 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The pencil always lasts longer than the eraser. Conduct yourself with dignity. Love your children for who they are, not who you want them to be. The arrow that leaves the bow can not come back. Hatred can destroy a persons soul. Kindness is loving people more than they deserve. Worry and dread are a waste of time. Good health and good sense are 2 of lifes greatest blessings. Be careful not to jump from the frying pan into the fire. Keep your nose clean. It just takes one decision to change your life forever. Believe in the human race. Love is blind. Think before you commit to something. Nature can teach us much wisdom. Greatness is in the heart. A fault denied is twice committed. Setting a good example is tool a parent can have in rasing a child. Good people can do bad things. If you do not take advantage of an opportunity, then someone else will. A lie can never fix the truth. All that shines is not gold. Optimism is a great healing force. Virtue is the fruit of life. He climbs highest who helps another up. Smile. Don't bring up old wounds. Love is a great investment. Look for truth. Do not expect kids to listen to your advice while ignoring your examples. Let your character speak for you. Be good and you will end up happy. It is not who is right but what is right that's important. When you realize you have made a mistake, try and correct it. Reinvent yourself. Sacrafice is a key to enjoyment. Action without thought is like shooting without aim. Act the part and you will become the part. Never underestimate the power of simple courtesy. Plan your work and work your plan.
