If only I could sleep.
Most times when I lay myself down to sleep my head will spin with so many thoughts I just can't handle it. I could lay for hours without even coming close to that perfect rest I crave so badly.
If however I am able to slide into the world of dreams it is a roll of the dice as to what I will find.
Let my dreams take me someplace wonderful, take me to love and peace and a place without sorrow.
No ~ Welcome to the land of bad memories, pain, monsters and cruelty.... So I awake, heart racing, not sure if it is over.
Afraid to return to sleep even if I could I grab a blank canvas. I pore paint onto a paper plate and grab a brush. Then I just go for it ~ let it become what it must.

Night Works
Untitled

~
The room still slightly smells of roses. So many things have happened here.
If walls could talk ~ the stories they could tell.
The darkness outside holds the past and future, what is coming in? Who has left? I am alone and afraid with this vision.
For me it is a quite nightmare. I want to go out into the blackness chasing what I have lost. I await the monster just outside, knowing it is about to come in.
Yellow Jacket
Yellowjacket
~
Sometimes I don't know why I paint the things I do.
A doll-like little girl in a yellow raincoat stares back at me from the canvas here.

Sacrifice of a soul mate
~
When I created this my mind told me it was murder of a soul mate, but when it was completed it was obviously a Sacrifice rather than a murder.
I have to many personal thoughts and feelings tied up into this canvas to explain it so I leave it up to you to get whatever you wish from it.

Night Works
Untitled

~
Everybody gets so many different meanings from this painting.
It is nice to know what an artist was thinking when he is creating, but in the end it is always up to the viewer to find what they will in any given painting.
In the end the artist can't be there to explain it anyway.... Take from it what you will.

Infernal Revenue Service
~
The tittle is not a description of the painting. The tittle is a statement as to what prompted me to paint it.
Here again I ask that you make of it what you will rather than have me explain what was on my mind.

Her Name Is Love
~
What is love?
It certainly isn't a harmless little cherub with a magic bow that shoots arrows leaving no marks.

Painting is a way to dust out the cobwebs of your soul.
Without painting I don't know if I would make it.
