These paintings originally came about after discussion with a tattoo client who fronts for a band by the name of Kaskadia. The basic ideas are a mix of his ideas and mine.
~ The first painting in the series. Take this as you wish because if I explain to much I think it would be ruined.
~ This painting went the fastest of this series and I think it was because I was very into it. Used and abused with stitches over wounds that won't ever heal this heart burns above a fire in the dark of night.
~ She has walked away, or disappeared, or... who knows? I suppose it depends on your own life story what she has done, but she has left her mark. The axe she once held sits still in the chopping block only visible by the light of the fire.
~ This is one possible future I suppose. Seattle mostly gone, the needle bent and maybe ready to eventually fall. The trees have reclaimed and the stick indians run loose. The art remains unchanged.
~ According to some legends stick indians are responsible for the stacked rocks we sometimes find on the coast and beaches of the pacific northwest. These odd stacking of rocks are a puzzle. Why? Who? maybe we will never know.
The reason for the aurora borealis in two of the paintings is because it was a request. They turned out quite nice and I am very glad I included them.
