Laura & Rebbekah   Leave a comment

Two Zombie Dolls in one post. (Remixes included)
Laura & Rebbekah

First we have Laura.
She was originally painted in 2004.

On the back of this painting I wrote

Laura
~
Cut away the history,
all the things I’ve done for you.
cut away the memories,
Nothing left you need to do.

How fucking deep is that? I’m sure I should have received a poet of the year award for that little string of babble. (I’m hoping you are catching the sarcasm)

Anyways…
On to Rebbekah.

There wasn’t anything written on the back of this one.
That almost surprised me as I still have some shit to say when it comes to the girl I had in mind when creating this one.
Not good, not bad, maybe just… I don’t know, maybe that is why nothing was written. I just couldn’t put it into words without using to many words.
This one was also originally created in 2004.

So, are we ready for the remixes?
Here is the Laura Remix.

Here is the Rebbekah remix.

I know… a lot to take in. I was really happy with the Rebbekah remix.
The Laura remix I have filed under “Hate it!” Then again I hate the original too. I hate it so much it made the grade as far as me deciding to remix it.
You see, I either liked or detested the paintings from this series if I chose to remix them. Any of them that I just kinda liked or disliked I left in storage. The really lame, in-betweeny ones I destroyed long ago as I decided they didn’t deserve to exist.
Both Laura & Rebbekah are of the “I hate em” catagory btw. Laura is just more hated than Rebbekah. I don’t know if that means she wins or loses.
The cheer and love I am emiting in this post is making butterflies and sunbeams fly out of my laptop. I’m in a Xanax mood.

So…
Prints of the original paintings are available HERE.
