Another fun random tattoo phone picture for ya.
So… this isn’t really a troll monster at all.
It is some sort of critter from an online game that the client is really into.
I can’t for the life of me recall what game currently, but I know it is a big one.
I do remember that it is one of the biggest in Europe and especially the Scandinavian countries according to the client.
The artwork for this critter was mostly furnished by the client too, though I had to fiddle with it a bit to make it work as a tattoo with the detail level he wished.

Please excuse the grainy picture. It was the only decent one I had on my phone and I took no others.
I suppose I should have turned him the other direction to take the pic so the sun wasn’t so harsh on his arm and wouldn’t have created that soft grainy look.
Oh-well… just glad I had decided to take a pic at all.
My favorite parts of this tattoo (as far as doing it was concerned) was the scabbard for the critters dagger, the muscular arm, and the horns.
I also enjoyed creating the mouth quite a bit. It was overall a very fun tattoo because it needed a ton of detail, but also required a lot of hard edge work.
Usually details are faked in black work tattoos by manipulating shades. Portrait work for example rarely requires any small needle groupings at all, but appears detailed.
This critter however was done with actual detailing. A good 30% or more was done with a three needle liner.
